My client, an established manufacturing and retrofit company, is expanding their retrofit design projects team.
A new opportunity has opened up for an experienced retrofit project manager to be based in Cork.
Focusing on developing new materials that are eco- or carbon-neutral for the retrofit sectors. We are looking for candidates with experience and passion for being at the forefront of the retrofit industry to push boundaries and drive change. You will be joining a multidisciplined team to support the development of retrofit designs.
Responsibilities will include
• Delivering projects from feasibility to development
• Delivering Passivhaus designs to PH standard as well as certified PH retrofit schemes and consultancy.
• Delivering designs in Revit/AutoCAD (depending on the project requirements).
• Delivering Feasibility Studies.
• Providing support in delivering all aspects of retrofit, including assessments, design, delivery, and monitoring, in line with PAS 2035/PAS 2038.
• Developing low-carbon material strategies and designs for clients within the building, Construction /refit arena
• Being the technical advisor.
• Structuring workload and deliverables as well as those of your project support to achieve the requirements of the project.
• Supporting work-winning to grow our clients net-zero carbon retrofit services, including client liaison and external profile raising.
• Representing our client at relevant forums and working groups, and client presentations.
• Championing sustainability and being a leader, encourage behavioural change throughout the business.
• Innovating and championing best practice, clearly communicating benefits and results to colleagues and clients.
About You:
• Problem-solver with ability to think laterally and adapt previous experience and solutions to new project/programme contexts
• Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Comfortable handling large datasets and combining both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Previous experience in embodied carbon and whole-life carbon assessments, such as calculations and analysis.
• Knowledge of energy reduction opportunities for different building types
• Familiar with whole-life carbon assessments and energy audits (EPCs)
• Use of compliance/building modelling software (IES, SAP, OneClick)
• Familiar with Sustainability Concepts
